About Elemental Yoga

We created this space for people living busy, demanding lives—where the mind rarely slows down and the body carries more than it should.

Here, yoga isn’t about performance, perfection, or fitting a mold. It’s a practical, grounding practice to help you unload pressure, move your body well, and step out of mental overdrive.

We don’t promise transformation overnight or ask you to become someone new. We offer a consistent place to return to when life feels full, loud, or demanding.

This is yoga as a release valve—so you can unload pressure, reconnect with your body, and move back into your day with more clarity, steadiness, and presence.

You don’t need to have it all figured out.
You just need a place to breathe, move, and reset.

Our Why

Physical to Mental

Movement has always been part of my life. Growing up, I played just about every sport you can imagine—hockey, football, golf, tennis, lacrosse. Being active wasn’t just something I did; it was how I stayed grounded, challenged myself, and managed stress.

As life became busier, that rhythm slowly faded. Daily movement turned into occasional workouts and weekend activity. Over time, my body began to feel the strain—and so did my nervous system. I didn’t realize it at the time, but I had lost a reliable way to release stress and reset.

Yoga entered my life as a physical solution. I wanted to move better, feel stronger, and ease the aches that came from years of pushing my body hard. What I didn’t expect was how quickly the mental shift followed. With consistent practice, I noticed more energy, clearer focus, and a sense of calm that stayed with me throughout the week.

Yoga became more than movement—it became a way to support both my body and my mind in a sustainable, long-term way.

Passion and Community

Growing up, I dealt with a lot of health challenges. I always wanted to dance and do gymnastics, but physically I wasn’t able to. I had a baby quite young, and there wasn’t much space to figure out what I enjoyed or what I was passionate about. I remember being asked when I was about 21, “What do you enjoy doing?” and realizing I honestly didn’t have an answer. The first few years of being a mom were very challenging, and for a long time I felt lost.

I came to yoga in 2016 after moving back home and trying to re-establish myself. I had never practiced before; I simply wanted to try something new.

I remember my first class so clearly. For an entire hour, I didn’t think about anything other than what I was doing. It felt like the first time in a long while that I could truly breathe.

Beyond the mental clarity, the physical benefits began to unfold as well. I felt better overall, and for the first time, I felt like I had found something that was just for me. I became deeply interested in the shapes, the mechanics, and everything that went into each pose. Yoga helped me reconnect with myself and led me to an incredible community—people who eventually became friends.

Yoga truly changed the course of my life, and I’m passionate about sharing that with others in whatever way they’re open to receiving it. I believe yoga can meet you exactly where you are—there is at least a piece of it for everyone.

I came to yoga in 2015 after someone suggested it might help with my tight hamstrings and sore back. At the time, yoga felt like a purely physical solution. I wanted to move better, feel stronger, and ease the aches that came from years of pushing my body hard.

What I didn’t expect was how quickly the mental shift followed.  Yoga slowly became more than movement — it became a way to reset, reconnect, and slow down.

I completed my 200-hour teacher training in 2023, followed by a 100-hour Yin & Restorative training in 2024, and a 100-hour Yoga Nidra training in 2025. These studies deepened my appreciation for slower, more intentional practices and the powerful effect they can have on both body and mind.

I’m especially drawn to teaching slower paced classes that invite students to soften, unwind, and step out of the constant momentum of daily life.

Slowing down my own mind has always been a challenge — which is exactly why I value these practices so much. Often the things that are hardest for us are the ones that help us grow the most.

In 2019, I completed my 200-hour teacher training at Yandara Yoga Institute in Mexico, and later continued my studies with a 300-hour training with Cathy Madeo in 2021. I’ve been teaching since 2020.

Over the years, my practice has grown through continued education, self-study, and simply spending time on the mat. I’m deeply curious about what’s actually happening in the body within each shape, not just how it looks, but how it feels and functions. I love breaking things down and exploring how we can build strength, understanding, and confidence in a way that’s sustainable over time.

I aim to create a space that feels accessible, welcoming, and easy to step into. Whether you’re looking for something slow and grounding or hoping to explore more challenging shapes, there will always be options. My intention is for classes to feel thoughtful, supportive, and a little light hearted, where you can work hard, stay curious, and not take yourself too seriously.

Yoga has been a powerful anchor in my life, both physically and mentally, and I’m truly grateful to share it. I look forward to moving, learning, and growing alongside you.

I started exploring yoga in my 20’s, teaching myself from a book I bought at a garage sale. My teaching is rooted in sustainable practices that support long-term strength, mobility, and nervous system health.  I teach foundational flow, hatha, restorative, and chair yoga, with an emphasis on accessibility and mindful progression. My goal is to create classes that meet students where they are and offer tools they can take with them off their mat.

My lived experience informs the way I teach and the practices I share. I believe yoga isn’t about intensity or performance — it’s about sustainability, presence, and building a practice that supports you for life.

I invite students to embrace themselves in this way too.  This inspired me to dive deeper and complete my 200 hour YTT with Leanne Kitteridge of Shibui Yoga in 2014. I continue to practice, study and take many workshops and training including Yin Yoga, Private Client with Lauren Roegele, Restorative with Kim Sheridan and many trainings with Natalie Rousseau.

My practice and teaching has been also influenced by Nicole Marcia who offered her knowledge in Trauma Informed Practices. In 2022, I Completed my 300 hour YTT with Janet Stone and 50 hour Pranayama & Respiratory Sciences with Julia McCabe.

I am eternally grateful for these teachers and so, so many more that have helped guide me on my journey.

Outside the studio, I enjoy big family dinners, a good book, and spending time with my husband and young daughter.

After completing my Yoga Teacher Training in Costa Rica in 2023, I realized how fulfilling it was to step outside of my comfort zone and share yoga with others. I especially enjoy exploring inversions and helping students build strength, confidence, and curiosity in their practice.

Outside of yoga, I enjoy spending time in the gym and hiking. I share a full and joyful life with my wonderful husband, our kids, and our fur babies.

I’m honoured to be part of the team at Elemental Yoga and look forward to growing alongside this community.

I’m a mother, a wife, and a proud dog mom. When I’m not on my mat, you’ll usually find me enjoying all the things life has to offer — cheering on my kids as a sports mom, spending time with my loved ones, getting in a workout at the gym, or sitting at my favourite restaurant having happy hour with my best girlfriends.

My favourite classes to teach are Hatha and Vinyasa — a blend of mindful alignment and intentional flow. I focus on helping students reconnect with their bodies while building a foundation of stability and strength. In my classes, you can expect thoughtful sequencing with simple themes that encourage exploring the balance between effort and ease.

I want my students to leave class feeling more connected and at home in their bodies. I believe yoga is a space to breathe, move, and not take yourself too seriously.

I can’t wait to share this practice with you and see you on your mat.
