A Yoga Series for an Efficient Kinematic Chain in the Golf Swing

A powerful, consistent golf swing starts with an efficient kinematic sequence — the way energy is transferred from the ground through the legs, hips, torso, arms, and finally the club.  At Elemental Yoga, we have developed a  yoga series that flows through the kinematic sequence from the ground up, rooted in the teachings from Katherine Roberts’ Yoga For Golfers®.  These sessions will help you generate more power, create a more stable and consistent swing, and allow you to step onto the course this coming season with confidence.

BALANCE, POWER & CONSISTENCY

WEEK 1: Ground Force – Building a Stable Base

Power starts from the ground. This session will focus on footwork, lower body stability, and how to generate force from the ground up. Expect poses that improve balance, ankle mobility, and leg strength to create a strong foundation.

WEEK 2: Core Connection – Stability & Rotation

Efficient energy transfer requires a strong, engaged core. This class will target rotational mobility, spinal stability, and deep core engagement, helping you create more separation between the upper and lower body for a more powerful coil.

WEEK 3: Upper Body Flow – Sequencing for Smooth Power

The arms and shoulders must follow—not lead. This session will focus on shoulder mobility, thoracic rotation, and arm positioning to ensure an effortless, connected motion through the swing.
